Fitting a towel rail in your bathroom

If you are refurbishing your bathroom and adding a beautiful new bathroom suite, you will most likely be changing the ceramic tiles too. If you are doing the job properly, you might want to take a look at that 1970's radiator you already have in your bathroom. Will this fit in with the new modern suite you are installing?

You will have to take the radiator off the wall to tile behind it anyway, so why not replace it with a stylish designer radiator or a chic towel rail? This will finish the room off beautifully and will provide a great place to warm your towels before you bath or shower and likewise a great place to dry them off when you are done.

There are loads of different types of designer radiators and towel rails currently available. From functional chrome rails that are perfect for holding a couple of bath towels to sleek designer radiators that would look more at home in the Tate Modern. The choice is really up to you.

If you are really lucky, the towel rail or radiator might fit straight onto the previous radiator's connections, but the likelihood is you will have to do a small plumbing job to make it fit. It's always a good idea to replace the radiator valves anyway so they match what you have bought.
